Printed Magazine E-book
Printed and Digital
Context:
This project was developed at Universidad Provincial de Córdoba for the Editorial Design course, under the guidance of Renato Echegaray.
Role:
Working as part of a three-person team, we created a digital magazine that explores the evolution of magazines throughout history and their role in contemporary media.
Are Magazines Still a Trend?
Challenge:
The challenge was to translate the structure of a printed magazine into an interactive e-book format without losing its editorial essence. This required rethinking information hierarchy, ensuring that headings, images, and text blocks guided the reader naturally through the content. Each design decision was made to create a smooth reading flow and intuitive navigation.
My Contribution
Design Process:
Special attention was given to legibility and contrast, key factors in digital environments where screen glare and varying devices can affect how users perceive information. Typography, spacing, and color combinations were carefully balanced to enhance clarity and comfort while preserving the visual identity of the original publication.
Why does this project matter?
Ultimately, this project highlights the importance of information design in digital media, not only organizing content effectively but also creating meaningful, aesthetic experiences that respect both form and function.
